Chronology
Two Harkonnen sisters battle forces that threaten the future of humanity and establish the legendary sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit. Whether they’re exploring the stars, escaping dystopias, or making the world a better place, these women are what science fiction is all about.
Anderson’s Great Schools of Dune trilogy
A prequel to the original Dune, it tells the story of how the Sisterhood of Rossak evolved into the Bene Gesserit. The incident with Valya Harkonnen using the voice of one called the ‘Mentats of Dune’.

All three books intertwine the development of the Sisterhood, the Mentats, the Navigators, and the Suk Doctors. Honestly, the whole time I was watching the show, I had the feeling it should be on the SyFy channel.
Unfortunately, I think this falls into the category of recent shows like Rings of Power (which I would argue is actually better)
I’ve heard that to really understand this series you have to read the book, so maybe that’s why the story didn’t feel rich or engaging (I found myself getting distracted by everything around me, which happens when my attention span is lost). While you can tell the production value was great, it just doesn’t feel like it belongs on MAX, especially with their other big hits.
